2nd Half of July

With the sun shining bright, we got out and about as much as possible.

Another day with Karly meant another home craft or food project.

Plastic Bead Sun Catchers.

For our first ones, they turned out well.

And the sunshine through them makes them even more pretty.

However, cooking them in the oven really stinks up the house.  Will try this again but cook them on our gas grill.

Eugene Sunday Streets

This is an annual event for people to walk, bike and roll to discover active transportation in a safe, traffic-free environment.

This trail bike practice area was quite challenging for Cole and Oma.

Look, no traffic.

The four of us were often the only riders on the streets as most folks were listing to music, eating food or participating in some activity provided by business.

Speaking of food.

Slice of pizza and kettle corn while we listened to some music.

And more playing down town.

Cole was the only one to partake in the water slide.

Week with Hannah

Cousin Hannah played with us for a week and the kids had a ball.

First the girls wanted to make "hamburger cupcakes".

OK, Now!

They sure looked cute and I think the girls liked them, however my first bite included egg shell and not just one piece. (Crunch Crunch) So the rest sort of 'disappeared' and the girls never said a word.  They had fun and they looked great!

An afternoon at a park...

and spent another afternoon at the pool.

Slides, obstacle courses and just plain fun!

FAIR

The camera died so only one or two photos were taken.

The kids rode a couple larger rides but mostly stuck to the younger kids slide, jungle climb and things like that.

Our TV still has issues and this time we really tore into it.

We are becoming experts on Samsungs.  We have managed to keep the TV alive but it's bound and determined to kick the bucket. Love the picture but hate the issues.

A total of 116,284 signatures were needed to put this on Oregon's Nov. 2014 ballot and on July 28th my parents drove to Eugene to sign the petition with us.

Oregon Says I Do is the petition committee dedicated to qualifying the Freedom to Marry and Religious Protection Initiative.

I have the BEST Parents in the world!

Cole and buddies from school, baseball and neighbors have enjoyed rounds of this game.

This day Cole was hit twice in the facemask that went right through to his mouth.

He laughed quite a bit followed by “This tastes terrible!”
