Cole looking for a game! He actually came to me after getting all his gear on and asked me to take his photo. So the close up and the “game face” was/is all his idea.

Jo…after my own heart…licking the spoon after making brownies! Dang I have to share that now.

Family Rides

Oma sold one of her bikes and we also sold our bike trailer this weekend and went right down and bought two bike extensions. After about an hour or so of assembly and Oma cleaning up her mountain bike we took the kids out for a short ride. They both loved it…at least Jo just made some giggling sounds when you asked her if she was having fun. Cole just said…”YES” when he was asked.
Jo pedaled the whole time and Cole did both…a little peddling and then some coasting while enjoying the ride.


Looking forward to more warm weather and more rides with the kids!

All About Jo!

We made each kid a dry diaper chart for the challenge of nighttime potty training. They each have the challenge of 14 days worth of dry morning diapers to earn new bedding of their choice. They do not have to have 14 straight days of dry mornings, but every day they wake with one they get to color in one square.

Well Jo has gone on a run of dry mornings for almost a full week now and this morning she colored in her last block! Mom took her to the store today and we came home with Jo’s NEW Princes bedding! She is very excited and will probably be more so after we make her bed up when it all comes out of the wash.

Just a little happy feet photo!

Paddy was tooling along the road one fine day when the local policeman, a friend of his, pulled him over.
"What's wrong, Seamus?" Paddy asked.
"Well didn't ya know, Paddy, that your wife fell out of the car about five miles back?" said Seamus.
"Ah, praise the Almighty!" Paddy replied with relief. "I thought I'd gone deaf!"
And here is a snow shot form March 10th! Jo was working on the snowman in front of Dale and Francis house while Cole found it much more fun to hit people with snowballs. This one hit Oma!

Local Artists

Thought you might like to see what our local artist are producing now. Their skills are really coming along…what with the water colors that they are provided with that all have a tint of brown now and the thin computer paper that they steal from the printer!

These two paintings really caught my eye today! I really can see what they are painting and thought…”How cool is this?!”
Cole painted his Batman logo.

Jo painted a wonderful blue sky with a sun and rainbow.

I’m thinking…priceless.

Tina Turns 40

Well that’s it, I turned 40 this week and well…it just doesn’t feel any different than 39-38-37? Ok, if I go back far enough it would feel different, mostly I have abused my body with sports and…it just doesn’t bounce back like it use too. So, to maybe go back with a younger body might not be that bad.

I was taken out for lunch & dinner on my birthday! Libby was my lunch date and it was perfect! Then Jill and I got a nice dinner alone at what looks to be a hole in the wall but the food was really good and we got some wonderful one-on-one time. I think I did most of the talking but we don’t get to just “talk” that often so it sure was nice!

My party took us to a putt-putt place, kid friendly, yet something for the adults as well. Oh, it was crowded with lots of folks we didn’t know but it worked out fine. Most got in 18 holes of golf, had some pizza and then cake. Todd printed out quite a variety of photos of me growing up; people got a real kick out of ‘skinny girl in bikini shooting riffle.’ I must say…I think I looked good in a bikini on the first half of forty.

Looking forward to joining the forty group! I kind of like saying it as well, plus I love the button I was given that says, “Forty is an F word.”

Last Lesson

Jo finished up her skating lessons and really had a good time at the last class. She started to actually move across the ice in a smoother motion and faster than the snail that she has been. She also received a ribbon for completing the class and that just made her smile even more! She wants to continue but it will most likely be going to open skate times from here on out. Though inline skates could be in her future as well.

After her class either Oma or I would strap on skates as well and do a lap or two with her before we headed for home. If Cole was with us he too would hit the ice…sometimes literally. If we held his hand he was like the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz when he first came down from his pole. Wiggle-Wobble and Falls Down. He got the hang of it though without our hands and can walk darn well on the ice now.

Looking forward to our next activity with them…we don’t know what that might be yet but I’m sure it will be a hoot to watch!
