Longview Play Time

Weekend with the S side of our BS Family to celebrate Lanna turning 10,
a little Smith/Ruiz visiting, a little Geocaching and swim, swim, swim.

Geocaching Crew
Dan, Carol, Tina & Jill with Lanna, Cole & Jo.

We hunted for them HIGH and LOW!
Rocks
Tree's
And yes, even a lizard!

This one was the best to date!
Very GeoOfficial box we thought!
And the inside was GREAT!
The sign behind the hut said,
"Ok this one's a little "over the top". But hey, Y'all are worth it! Cache On!"
Kudo's to this creative Cacher!

Swimming!
Cousin Skylar & Jo.
Lanna, Jo and Cole.
Will have to plan another trip soon to do more of ALL the above.

3rd Grade Over + Geocaching

First Day   -   Last Day
Onto 4th!

Geocaching Weekend.
A little backyard baseball with Gpa Norman, Noah and Cole.
Two of five balls are left after many went over fences.

Diamond Lake!
Um, snow?  Really?!
Rain, bugs and a little chill in the air and  a very good time hunting caches and answering Diamond Lake questions.

The kids ran and ran and ran.
Cole and Noah made sure they marked every area we went as well.  And when I say "marked", yes that is what I mean.

We did not find the three caches in this area due to snow and a large, fresh snowmelt, stream (no way we wanted to get that cold and wet).  Fun hike and we all came back a little wet, some from our knees down as our stepping found hollow spots in the snow due to the melting.

One requirement for this cache was a picture with Raccoon Dr.
Jo, Tina, Gma Marie, Noah, Jill, Cole & Gpa Norman
Or our Geo Names of BS Family, Buckshot & Foxy & Mitchell's Ark.

Yup, betcha didn't know there were so many junk boxes hidden around.
Around this sign too!

Tried to end our weekend finding a 5/5 geocache in Roseburg.
No luck, this time!  But we will find this cache!

Oh, and Happy Fathers Day Dad!  Had a wonderful weekend.

Spring with Showers!

Baseball is over.  Do I say more here?
Cole made a lot of new friends and the parents this year were quite fun.
It was quite fun watching Cole again this year as he has grown so much in skill and size from last year.

Grandma Marie and Grandpa Norman took the Grandkids to Cirque du Soleil's Dralion this month.  It's been a while since the cousins have been together so I grabbed a quick photo.
Cole, Hannah, Jo and Derian
All came home talking about their favorite part and I think hands down it was the trampoline act.

Yard Work and Play.
Full weekend of yard work as we are still grabbing the sunshine when we can to get things done in the yard.
Both kids have mowed a couple times now and are getting better.  There will be no shortage of practice mowing this summer and I fully anticipate the kids asking for money by the end.

Family bike rides are so fun this Spring.
Five miles is an average with stopping at a park here or there to play.

The "Showers" part?!
RAIN RAIN will NOT stop our S'more's evening!
Not only did the neighbor kids come from all directions but Martha and Tracy came buy too.  It was like camping in Oregon with the rain, canopy, fire & s'mores but with better sleeping arrangements!

Sure looking forward to Summer!

Jo's First Piano Recital

She was not able to play during the recital but she did play the following day so we could record what she would have played.
