This time it was Fourth of July cupcakes.
Not only did they look wonderful they tasted good, BONUS!
A Whole New Baseball World?
This baseball season opened Oma and Cole's eyes to another
baseball world in our area.
Willamette Valley Select is not only a camp but they play on
until the weather stops them.
Cole and Oma participated in the two week camp (Oma
Coaching). On July 6 following the two weeks they participated in a Wood Bat
tournament here in town with Oma Coaching Cole's team.
Select gives players a chance to play more ball, practice
positions that they might not get a chance to during the regular season and
hone their hitting skills. This tournament brings teams from all over the state
and including the All-Star teams from our area. Cole's team gave the All-Star "A" team their toughest
game of the weekend which brought smiles from his whole team (it must have been
the coaching).
Connie's 50th!
Around the 11th, six middle age women met up at Rachelle and
Connie's house, loaded things in an RV
and headed to Reno to celebrate Connie's 50th birthday.
Jill, Connie, Rachelle, Tina, Di & Janis
The saying "What happens in Vegas", well that
holds true for Reno too.
We walked a LOT, learned to play Craps, which most of us now
enjoy, took in a show and visited Carson City for a day.
Jill and I were able to pay for part of our trip with this
slot win!
Good memories and stories to never tell.
More Family Summer Fun
Another fire pit night at home.
We didn't light the pit up as much as I wanted to this
summer but it's always fun when we did.
With all the fun sodas for sale I brought home a six pack of
flavors.
Mixing the green apple and caramel tasted pretty good.
TaeKwonDo
Cole took a month off from "team" sports so he
joined Jo at TaeKwonDo.
He had a good time and would have liked to continue but
baseball started again as well as Football.
Shooting Range
July 19 Uncle Todd and Cousin Derian stopped by and grabbed
Cole to do some target practice at a range.
Derian
Cole came home just pumped at the experience and more
appreciative of shooting.
Todd stated that Cole's respect and safety of this sport is
high and he would take him again. Cole
is ready...any day and looks forward to learning to hunt.
