Yes it's spring time and that means baseball, lots of it!
This year the family all has matching hats to cheer on Cole and the team!
Jo and I are bundled up on the bleachers for the first game.  We were knocking on wood that the rain would hold off and it did.  Just windy and cold but we can live with that!

Jo is totally into baseball this year.
Ok, no she isn't.  She did, however, ask for a baseball hat to show her pride in Cole.  (her words people, really)
This is more of what Jo does during the games.  "LOOK MOM, nutria!  And there is a baby too!".

I didn't realize the zoom was on when I snapped this photo of Jo.
What a Beauty!

Oh, it's baseball, right?!
Cole played a couple innings at third base the second game and made some good plays.
It's fun watching him in the infield this year.

Oma is helping out this year at practice and also feeds the machine during games when we are at bat.
Cole is standing on second as he had made a nice hit up the middle and made it easily to first.

His favorite position is catcher.
Cole is learning quickly that this position is actually more than just catching as he is already learning to direct throws and learning to pay attention to the whole field!

LET'S PLAY BALL BS GROUPIES!

Nails to Boards

As anyone who knows Jo, she loves dirt, bugs, dresses and makeup.
Tracy was kind enough to take Jo on her first ever professional manicure!
She not only came home after a hand massage with beautiful nails but a new bag with polish, emery boards and other items to take care of her nails.

AND THAT'S NOT ALL!
A pedicure the following week too!
She is walking tall these days, telling us how we should take care or our nails and how she had her feet and hands massaged.

Big THANKS to Tracy for giving Jo such a wonderful gift!

SNOW BOARDING!

Real Girls wear dresses
when they snow board!

Ok, she tried it on and practiced in the house before heading up the hill that evening.

Yes, an evening trip with snow and more snow and even more snow!
Brandon volunteered to do yet another lesson.  He has now taught both kids how to board and they are both hooked!  Thanks Brandon...we think?  Ha Ha!

Brandon said Jo stopped asking for help up half way down the first run, he was impressed that she wanted to do it alone.
She had a blast!

Though it might be hard to see here, she's smiling and still smiling today!
Painted nails snowboarding, this girl is living the high life!

The requirement from Jo the next day was that Mom put together a video of her day on the mountain.

About 3 minutes.
(If you can not see the video on the email click on our blog link in the email and go to our site.)

THIS GIRL JUST WANTS TO HAVE FUN!

45 Years Plus

Well I woke on my 45th year to noise in our kitchen, it was dark.
Who or what was it?
Cole, up making toast.  I asked, "Whatcha doin Buddy?"
Cole: "It's your birthday so I thought I should make you breakfast."
Are you tearing up BS Groupies?  I did!
I have the GREATEST SON on earth!
The toast was buttered in the center only with a dash of cinnamon and sugar. (and dash I mean I don't think if he spilled that on the floor we could have swept it up)  And it was The BEST TOAST I EVER ATE!

Work was wonderful as we had pastries and fruit for everyone and they showered me with loads of chocolate!  For lunch I went back to my old job to hang with the ladies I love.
My loot?
Nice candle and a homemade cheese cake with homemade cherry or blackberry sauce!  You may be asking "Are those urine cups on the table?"  Why, yes they are!  Use what we can when it comes to taking leftovers home!
My family enjoyed the cheesecake too!
Well, Cole enjoyed the blackberry sauce the most and didn't care that he was eating out of a urine cup!

Dinner with my family.
Gregg, JenJen, Julie, Tracy & Martha, Annie, Me, Jo & Cole.

And a HAPPY NEW YEAR to Annie!
She is one of my oldest friends as she recruited me to play on my first softball team when I was 18.  Annie and I have many fun stories and adventures together.  Happy Birthday Annie!

March...MARCH!

WHO IS SLEEPING IN JO'S BED?
Ummm, that would be Jo.

Holden came for a visit and we ROCKED the house!
(Ok, Oma said she didn't Rock as she kept getting kicked off the game because she is so bad)
Ok, he was in town and gave us a ring for his bonus time with his awesomest relatives ever!  And we thank Holden for his time and hope to do it again.

And on the note of Oma being bad at the game?  Cole has asked if we can get a game Oma is good at so she will want to play the Wii with the family.  He likes family game night.  Oma does not believe there is such a game...one that she would be good at that is.
Snow!  Our only SNOW!
It sure was pretty while it lasted and it didn't last long.

What did the family do while it snowed?
Yup, Oma on her computer and Cole in front of the boob tube.

Karly and Jo were busy out playing in the snow though, right?
No, they were inside playing Littlest PetShops.
Me?  Well I was running around in the house taking pictures and asking "Why are you now outside?"

To be fair, the kids made it outside
for a short time.  The snow just wasn't
wet enough to make a good throwing snowball
let alone enough snow on the ground
to make a snowman.

Like I said, it was sure pretty while lasted.

Bird Watching.
Jo and I bought some new feeders and more food for the birds and boy how they have flocked to our yard.
The birds and squirrels are getting use to us silly humans standing in the window staring at them while they eat and bathe.

Basketball is over.
Cole had a good season and really enjoyed playing with his best friend Keenan.
The White Dragons! In cupcake form.

Will end this post with a self portrait by Jo.
Jo is quite the artist!

Scarf Dance by Jo

1.30 minute video

I had been trying to explain to Jo how good she has gotten as she has often struggled on the first day of a new piece of music.  So she picked a piece that she liked and we videotaped the first day vs last day.
