Just about every holiday now Jo decorates the window at the
front of our house with pictures and decorations.
I LOVE that she does this.
Twas the night before the egg hunt and all through the Grange...
Writing on dozens and dozens of eggs for prizes the next
day.
Twins are now too old to egg hunt in Myrtle Creek so we put
them to work (actually, they looked forward to being the 'big' kids this year
and helping). First off was writing the
names of local businesses on all the eggs who would be giving kids prizes if
they found that egg.
The next morning they joined us for the egg hunt set up.
Staking the grounds....
Roping off the areas...
Hiding the eggs and tossing candy...
And watching the crowd of kids Hoover all your work in less
than a minute.
Rachelle and Cole hid eggs in the older kids area. Finding
eggs in this area is a challenge since they are hidden very well.
The kids had a very good time. I think they might even ask to participate again next year.
Easter Morning and their egg hunt at Rachelle and Connie's
got much harder as the eggs were hidden in a larger area of the property.
Eggs were hidden in, above and under trees and clumps of
dirt.
This hunt took them much longer than a minute.
In fact, at one point they counted eggs and we were still
missing one and we all had to look for quite some time before one of us figured
out we had forgotten the original count and the kids had actually found all the
eggs. (Memory loss as we get
older...dang.)
Got our Color On
And back home for yet another egg hunt in our back yard.
What a wonderful weekend on a new level.
Happy (belated) Easter everyone!
